Intelligibility, not power
A congress room with poor acoustic treatment — low ceiling, bare walls, large glazing — degrades speech long before it runs out of power. Turning the volume up then makes things worse by increasing reverberation.
The answer lies in placement: several coverage points spread out and aimed at the audience rather than one front-of-house system pushed hard, equalisation matched to the voice, and the use of headset or gooseneck microphones that pick up close to the mouth.
Reliability and redundancy at official events
For a ministerial address or the signing of an agreement, no incident is acceptable. So we double the critical elements: a backup microphone ready, a console with redundant power, a backup recording, and a technician positioned immediately next to the platform.
On request we also provide a written technical run sheet setting out who speaks, on which microphone and at what point — a valuable document for protocol and for the master of ceremonies alike.
