Why a conference system rather than ordinary microphones
Passing two roving microphones around an assembly of forty people wastes a considerable amount of time and breaks the rhythm of the debate. A conference system gives everyone their own microphone: taking the floor becomes immediate, the recording is clean, and the chair keeps control of proceedings.
The number of open microphones is automatically limited, which removes the muddy sound and permanent feedback of rooms equipped in a hurry.
