The three traps of open-air sound
The first is wind: it carries sound away and can cost several decibels in downwind areas. So we orient the system taking prevailing winds into account and plan fill positions.
The second is distance: beyond thirty metres or so you need secondary coverage points, with a calculated delay so the sound arrives in phase and does not produce an echo. The third is the environment: traffic, sea, generators and crowd create a noise floor that forces the useful level up — so the system must be specified wider than indoors.
Electrical safety and neighbours
Open air imposes precise requirements: protected and raised cabling at crossing points, compliant distribution boards, earthing, residual current protection and a generator sized with headroom. Our crew installs and monitors the whole system throughout the event.
We also build in neighbourhood constraints and permitted hours: speaker orientation, cardioid subwoofer configuration and a programmed level reduction at the end of the evening.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if it rains?
We protect the equipment and control position with covers and shelters. On higher-risk jobs we agree an interruption threshold with the organiser in advance, for safety.
Is a permit needed to run sound in a public square?
Yes, generally from the municipality or the local authority. We provide the technical specifications of the system to support your application.
Do sand and sea air damage the equipment?
They are aggressive, which is why we use protected equipment and carry out a full clean after every seaside job.
