Revealing without flattening
The most frequent mistake in facade lighting is excess: a wall evenly flooded with white light loses all relief and becomes flat. The work consists instead of creating contrast, leaving areas in shadow and selectively underlining the elements that give the building its identity.
Moroccan heritage — zellige, carved wood, chiselled plaster, arcades — responds remarkably well to grazing light that reveals texture. So we favour low, lateral positions rather than frontal lighting.
Technical constraints of existing buildings
Lighting a historic building requires precautions: no invasive fixings on protected elements, cool sources so materials are not altered, discreet and secured cabling, and respect for access routes and fire exits.
We carry out a night-time site visit beforehand to assess existing urban lighting, which often interferes with the result, and to test fixture positions before approval.

Can a listed monument be lit?
Yes, with authorisation from the competent authority and non-invasive fixings. We provide a technical dossier describing the installation to support your application.
Does the installation withstand rain?
Our outdoor fixtures are weatherproof and our distribution boards protected. The installation can stay in place for several days.
Do you offer permanent installations?
Yes, for hotels, riads and institutional buildings. The study, supply and commissioning are then covered by a separate quote.
