Wash moving head
A wide, soft beam that colours large surfaces and bathes the stage or dance floor. The basis of a dynamic atmosphere.
Spot moving head
A sharp, shapeable beam with gobos and prisms, to project patterns and isolate precise areas.
Beam
A very narrow, intense beam, visible in the air, drawing columns and figures in the haze.
Movement in the service of the programme
Moving heads in constant motion tire the eye and trivialise the effect. Good practice is to reserve movement for moments that justify it: the entrance of the couple, the opening of the dance floor, the announcement of a winner, the build of a track.
The rest of the time, the same fixtures work statically, in an ambient or backlight role. It is that alternation that gives the evening its relief.
Haze, essential to the beam
A beam is only visible in the air if there are particles to reflect the light. Without a haze machine, the most spectacular effect in the inventory stays invisible: you only see the pool of light where it lands.
So we accompany beam configurations with a light, continuous haze, dosed to stay discreet and compatible with the venue's smoke detectors — a point that must absolutely be checked with the hotel or the hall.

Frequently asked questions
How many moving heads for a party?
Six to eight are enough for a dance floor of 200 people, split between front and back. Beyond that, the effect mainly gains coverage, not impact.
Does haze set off fire alarms?
It can, depending on the detector type. We check with the venue beforehand and use fine haze machines, which are less problematic, or adapt the setup.
Can movement be synchronised to the music?
Yes, either through programmed sequences aligned to your playlist, or by manual operation from our desk, which remains the most musical option.
